![]() ![]() I basically paid $90 for a hub and a free Dot (that is still in the box) that did nothing for my life overall. There's no effin' way I'm doing that so forget it. There's a YouTube video out there that shows Alexa integration with Kodi, but the first thing the developer says to do is NAT inbound traffic on the Kodi remote control port to your Kodi box. Sometimes just for the heck of it, I'll grab the Amazon remote, press and the hold the mic and say, "turn the TV on" just because I can. So, like I said, I just use it to turn the TV off if I walk out of the room and didn't realize my wife was also coming to bed. That would take me a year to script only to end up with the most PITA setup. ![]() Okay now play the latest episode of Criminal Minds. My wife was not about to tell Alexa to put on channel 6. Hit the home button, go into Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, switch to the Installed Apps, kill Kodi, click home, go down three, launch Kodi, wait for 15 seconds, and THEN go through the clicks to execute whatever the goal of the script was.Īnd then if I grabbed the remote and did something by hand, trying to "end" the script would result in the hub clicking and moving and clicking on God knows what. Depending on your Harmony product: Harmony Pro, Elite, and Smart Control remotes: Press the Menu & Mute buttons at the same time. Press the Pair/Reset button on the back of the hub. I don’t need individual controls exposed in Home - I’m happy Harmony app (or the actual remote) to do. My use case is that I want to be able to have Siri run my Watch TV activity as part of a shortcut. ![]() Since we watch everything through Kodi (even antenna TV, DirecTV NOW, and Netflix), it degraded to a point where if I wanted to execute a script to watch something, I had to put Kodi in a known state: Wait 30 seconds after first connecting it to a power supply. In terms of IP, I used the IP of the hub as it appears in the Harmony iPhone app under Settings>About>Versions>Hub IP Address. That throws the whole system out of whack. It didn't help that my wife and I both still have a habit of just picking up the remote and clicking. ![]()
